The first Starbucks.
Seattle is the cradle of many stars. It was here where such artists as Jimi Hendrix, Court Cobain and Sound Garden created. This is where empires of Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos were born. A huge Boeing also has its factory here. Lots of movies and TV series also were inspired by the energy of Seattle. And it’s here where Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan had one of the most romantic affairs of all-time in the “Sleepless in Seattle”.
It is also here where Starbucks started to serve its first coffee in a white mug with a green logo in 1971. I can not get into Starbucks’ first coffeehouse which is located at the Pike Place Market, because standing in huge line for a cup of coffee is definitely not my goal. Inspired by the history of one of the largest coffee brand in the world and still having unfulfilled desire of drinking aromatic hot coffee, we go to the Starbuck coffee roastery where we can see, feel and taste what is the true passion of roasting coffee. When we enter the roastery we are greeted by the hostess who asks us what kind of coffee we want today and after short chat she chooses the best one for us. While we are waiting for our coffee, we watch very interesting interior of the Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room. After a while I hear my name and I know what it means. After all we are in Starbucks, where everyone is by first name. : ) We get our cups of aromatic and hot coffee, which this time we take away as we want to be able to enjoy next charms of the city as soon as possible.

Pierwszy Starbucks.
Seattle jest kolebką wielu gwiazd i to w wielu dziedzinach. To tutaj tworzyli Jimi Hendrix, Court Cobain, czy Sound Garden. To tutaj powstało imperium Billa Gates’a i Jeff’a Bezos’a. Swoją fabrykę ma także ogromny Boeing. Niezliczone filmy i seriale także energię i inspirację czerpią właśnie z Seattle. I to właśnie tutaj Tom Hanks i Meg Ryan stworzyli jeden z największych romansideł wszech czasów “Bezsenność w Seattle”, które mimo przelukrowania i odjechania w nierealny świat romansu tak bardzo lubię oglądać : )
To tutaj także w 1971 roku pierwszą kawę w białym kubku z zielonym logo serwuje Starbucks. Do kawiarni, która mieści się przy Pike Place Market nie udaje mi się dostać, bo stanie w kilometrowej kolejce po kubek kawy stanowczo nie jest moim celem. Zainspirowana historią jednej z największych sieci kawiarni na świecie i nadal niezaspokojoną chęcią wypicia aromatycznej, gorącej kawy udajemy się do prażalni kawy Starbuck, w której od A do Z możemy obejrzeć, poczuć i skosztować czym jest prawdziwa pasja prażenia kawy. Od samych drzwi zostajemy powitani przez Panią z obsługi, która pyta nas na jaką kawę dzisiaj mamy ochotę i dobiera najlepszą do naszych kubków smakowych. W oczekiwaniu na przygotowanie naszej kawy oglądamy zakątki Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room, bo taka jest pełna nazwa tego wyjątkowego miejsca, które od samego patrzenia pobudza, a przecież jeszcze nie wypiliśmy ani łyka kawy. Po chwili słyszę moje imię i dobrze wiem co to oznacza, w końcu jesteśmy w Starbucks, gdzie wszyscy są po imieniu. : ) Dostajemy kubki aromatycznej i gorącej kawy, które tym razem zabieramy na wynos, by móc się jak najszybciej zachwycać kolejnymi urokami miasta.
